STEP 1
Entrance Test Registration
Students applying must take one of two entrance tests, the HSPT or the SSAT.
HSPT
Applicants to grade 9 who choose to take the HSPT registered for the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test offered at many Catholic high schools in the Boston area. Saint Joseph Prep Boston administers this test in the fall, and we also offer prep course Saturdays in October. If you still need to schedule and HSPT exam, reach out to Director of Enrollment, Sasha Eskelund at sasha.eskelund@saintjosephprep.org
Submit the $40.00 (non-refundable) testing fee, payable online at boston.stsusers.com. Payment will be made to the school where the test will be taken. Saint Joseph Prep's HSPT school code is 502. Details about the test day will be emailed to registrants as the test date approaches.
SSAT
Applicants to grade 9 who choose to take the SSAT and all applicants to other grades, should visit this link to register for the Upper Level SSAT. Students who or have previously taken the test should have scores submitted to the School. Students taking the test this fall should indicate that scores are to be sent to Saint Joseph Prep. Saint Joseph Prep's SSAT school code is 2796.
Please note that priority consideration for merit scholarships will be given to students who choose SJP as a test location for the HSPT and who indicate SJP as a first choice when taking either the HSPT or the SSAT.

Need-based financial aid awards are granted on an annual basis. Applicants are required to apply online by accessing FACTS Tuition Management. This type of award is based on demonstrated need as determined by the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Service. Those applying for the 2023-24 academic year were asked to complete and submit the FACTS grant and aid assessment application, along with supporting documentation by December 31, 2022.
If you have yet to submit your application, please do so as soon as possible. Contact Sasha Eskelund with any questions at sasah.eskelund@saintjosephprep.org
