A complete Application for Admission includes the following:
- Entrance Test scores
- Application for Admission
- Transcript, Standardized Testing Results, Attendance/Discipline Record from previous two years
- School Report
- Current Math Teacher Recommendation
- Current English Teacher Recommendation
STEP 1
Entrance Test Registration
Students applying must take an entrance test.
Students applying to grades 9 or 10 should register for the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test offered at many Catholic high schools in the Boston area on October 31, November 7, November 21 and December 5. Saint Joseph Prep will administer this test on November 21 and December 5. Students may register for the HSPT test online* by visiting https://stsusers.com/stsusers/registration/static/boston.php. Students may send his/her test scores to five area Catholic high schools. Students will select their high school choices from a drop-down menu when registering online. Saint Joseph Prep’s school code is 502.
*Please note that all applicants must pre-register for testing.
Applicants who have not taken the HSPT may submit SSAT results to complete the entrance test requirement.
Applicants to grades 10 or 11 may submit the score results from the parent copy of the SSAT or PSAT to complete the entrance test requirement. Applicants may register for the SSAT by visiting www.ssat.org.
STEP 2
Attend Our Open House or Schedule a Tour
Given the current circumstances with Covid-19, our normally in-person Open House event is only available virtually. In-person tours of the School may be available in November and December, and they are currently offered through our Virtual Open House, as well. A personal interview is not required of candidates to the ninth grade. Please note that attending an Open House or scheduling a tour is encouraged, but not a required step, in the application process.
STEP 3
Apply Online through Ravenna-hub.com
To begin your application, go to www.ravenna-hub.com and create an account. Make sure to create your account using an email address you will have access to throughout the admission season, as this will be your primary email contact with our school. Once you register, create your child’s basic profile and then select ‘Saint Joseph Prep’ from the School Directory to begin the application process.

All applications should be created and submitted by December 31. Late applications will be considered. The $25 application fee is payable online or directly to Saint Joseph Prep. Please contact the Office of Admission at 617-254-8383 if you have any questions.
STEP 4 (Optional)
Financial Aid
Need-based financial aid awards are granted on an annual basis. Applicants are required to apply online by accessing www.factstuitionaid.com. This type of award is based on demonstrated need as determined by the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Service. Those applying for the 2021-22 academic year are asked to complete and submit the FACTS grant and aid assessment application, along with supporting documentation by December 31.
Admission Decision
Decisions will be released by February 3, 2021.
