Robotics

Saint Joseph Prep's Robotics team, the 1965 Firebirds, is one of the most popular clubs on campus.

Skill-building

The Robotics team offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with both hard skills such as engineering and coding, and 21st century skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and communication.

Encouraging Women in STEAM

Our Robotics team encourages young women to explore STEAM disciplines in which women are underrepresented. Working with industry mentors allows young women to see themselves in the shoes of engineers.
