May Student-Athlete of the Month

Saint Joseph Prep features a Student-Athlete of the Month. Based on the recommendations of their coaches, student-athletes are considered on a variety of criteria including performances both on and off the field/court/pitch/links/pool/ice. The May recipient of this honor is SJP Girls’ Lacrosse team’s Katelynn O’Connor!

Though only a freshman, Katelynn has been a leader for the very first girls’ lacrosse team. Coach Kent tells us, “Katelynn has taken on the grueling responsibility of a center, a position that not only plays both offense and defense but also dictates much of the play of the rest of the team; has scored the vast majority of the team’s goals; and has shared her knowledge and skills with her teammates. Katelynn has played nearly every minute of every game this season and her statistics place her in the top four in the CCL Small in both goals and points!”

Katelynn also pushes herself to excel in the classroom, as she carries five Honors courses, and has earned Honor Roll status each quarter!

Congratulations, Katelynn!
