CCL Scholar-Athletes of the Year

On Sunday, May 21, JoJo Duplan ’17 and Jonathan Stratter ’17 were recognized by the Catholic Central League as Saint Joseph Prep’s Scholar-Athletes of the Year. The reception, held at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, honored student-athletes from each league school for their success both in the classroom and on the playing field.

Duplan was a four-year soccer, basketball, and track & field athlete. As a soccer player, she led the team in scoring her junior and senior years, earning first team All-Star recognition both seasons. She was a captain her junior and senior years in both basketball and track, and was recognized as a league All-Star in basketball her junior year. JoJo is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, and is active with the Phoenix Players, among other clubs and activities. She will attend Boston University this fall.

Stratter was a four-year soccer and basketball player. As a three-year starter on defense, he helped Saint Joseph Prep’s boys’ soccer team set a program record fifteen wins his senior year, advancing to the second round of the state tournament. On the basketball team, he led the team in scoring as a senior captain, earning a league All-Star nod in the process. Jonathan is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Ambassador Club, and is active in various community service activities. He will attend UMass-Amherst in September.

Congratulations to both JoJo and Jonathan on this well-earned achievement!
