SJP Honored by the MIAA

On November 18, 2016, student-athletes from Saint Joseph Prep attended the MIAA Sportsmanship Summit at Gillette Stadium. The event was organized in celebration of schools throughout the state that distinguished themselves for their fair play and positive sportsmanship. SJP has been included in this category the past two years. In recognition of this achievement, the School received a banner that will hang in the gym here on campus with room for many more years of inclusion on the MIAA Sportsmanship Honor Roll. SJP was also the recipient of the District H 205-16 Award for Sportsmanship. There are 26 schools in the district, and we were the one selected by all of the member schools. This is quite an honor for Saint Joseph Prep, and it is a credit to all of our coaches, our support staff, and most especially, our amazing student-athletes! Representing Saint Joseph Prep were seniors Hannah Burke, JoJo Duplan, Allen Fleureny, Sharon King, and Dante Salvucci. On behalf of the school, thank you to all the student-athletes and coaches who earned this honor by competing the right way.

Beyond this important school-wide accolade, several student-athletes were recognized by the Catholic Central League and their own teams for individual awards for the fall season. The honorees are listed below — be sure to give them a high-five the next time you see them!
